I am so excited to become involved, write and teach Inspired Creations Beginners Certificate Courses. It is a really exciting 30 week programme packed full of techniques that I am sure you will enjoy learning. This is only the beginning of your journey, just wait until you see what you can achieve... I look forward to meeting you!

Sue Wilcox (Tutor - Royal Icing Skills)

sueMy name is Sue Wilcox and I have been interested in Sugarcraft for about 50 years!

I enjoyed cookery and Sugarcraft at school . When I got married and had my children I started attending evening classes. I made my children’s birthday cakes, Christmas cakes for my wider family and eventually ended up making all kinds of celebration cakes for friends and then, by word of mouth, for friends of friends.

I joined the West Wickham Sugarcraft club in 1982 and supported them by standing on their committee, running courses for the ‘Young Sugarcrafters’ and making exhibits for the club’s table at exhibitions. Throughout the years I have developed my skills by attending a wide range of courses, many organised by the club and even now I am learning new techniques and building upon my skills.

These days I enjoy entering competitions and I am proud to have won several awards. My particular passion is Royal Icing work and making flowers out of sugar, and now, most of all, I enjoy sharing my knowledge in these areas with others and I hope that they will get as much pleasure from the art of Sugarcraft as I have and still continue to do.

Gemma Quarendon (Award Winning Tutor)

gemmaHaving followed the well-trodden path of marriage, mortgage and children, one day, finally, the light-bulb lit up for Gemma. Working through the night (as you do) to complete her daughter’s birthday cake master piece, (the Fairy Castle cake of all Fairy Castle cakes!) On the day of the party she was overwhelmed with so many wonderful comments and praises. Enquiries began to role in for her cake making services, www.gemcakes.co.uk was born!

Award Winning - Gemma now believes she has the perfect job and is realising her dream, making a living out of something she is passionate about - or should that be obsessed with?! It is now time to share her passion and knowledge with others, and she delighted to be part of the wonderful and extremely talented team of teachers at Inspired Creations.

Tarina Webber (Tutor)

tarina webber My name is Tarina Webber and I am a married mum to four children ranging from 2yrs to 13 yrs. I am also a full time child minder. With so many children in my life, birthdays and special occasions are a regular occurrence. I have always been an "arty crafty" type of mum and ten years ago when my eldest asked for a wizards hat I decided to try and make it - looking back it was horrendous but he loved it and I really enjoyed the challenge - this led me to find cake decorating classes and that is how I found Inspired Creations. I attended many enjoyable evening & morning classes over a period of five years which helped me improve my sugarcraft skills and gave me the confidence to start my own cake decorating business www.noveltycakedesigns.co.uk. I have been making cakes professionally now for the past five years. My passion is creating cakes that are unique, bold centre pieces. I believe that anything is possible in sugar.

I have come back to Hannah at Inspired Creations to share my knowlege and experience and of course my fancy twist on designs. I look forward to meeting you soon.

Tarina
